Privacy

Privacy, in plain words

Sintra Planner is a free, independent planner. You don’t need an account, and there are no tracking cookies or ads. This page explains exactly what happens to your data.

What we don’t collect

  • No accounts, sign-ups or newsletters.
  • No cookies of our own, and no advertising or tracking cookies.
  • We don’t store your plans. A plan lives in its link: trip length, dates, arrival time, pace and the stops you chose. Anyone you share the link with sees those choices.

Hosting

The site runs on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare receives your IP address and basic technical details (your browser, the page requested, the time) to deliver pages and block abuse, and it may set a strictly necessary security cookie to tell people from bots. We keep short-lived technical logs of requests, which may include your IP address, to find and fix errors; they are deleted automatically after a few days. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Visitor statistics

We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It shows us totals only: how many visits, which pages are read, which site people came from, the type of device and browser, and the country. It doesn’t use cookies or store anything on your device, and Cloudflare says it doesn’t fingerprint visitors or follow them across other websites. We can’t see who you are. See how Cloudflare Web Analytics works.

Navigate buttons open Google Maps, and ticket and information links open the official sites. Once you follow a link, that site’s own privacy policy applies. For Google Maps, that’s Google’s privacy policy.

Why we may do this

Under the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation, hosting data and visit counts are processed for our legitimate interest in running a working, secure website and knowing how it is used.

Your rights and contact

You can ask what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to contact@sintraplanner.com. Because we don’t keep data that identifies you, there is usually nothing beyond the short-lived logs. You can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.

Changes

If this changes, for example if we add partner links, we will update this page first.
